Ballyhoo Ltd, a digital agency that specialises in web design and online marketing, was the first business to join Longbridge Technology Park, taking up an office in the Park’s Innovation Centre.
Managing director Anthony Chaffey says:
Since joining the Innovation Centre in 2013 our turnover has increased by 234%. We’ve grown the company and have also been able to give young, local people employment opportunities by offering apprenticeships. Our future in Longbridge looks bright and we look forward to our continued expansion here.
...and opportunity
Longbridge is home to a diverse and dynamic mix of businesses, from technology start-ups to leading independent professional services firms.
The £100 million Technology Park accommodates nearly 60 businesses and is recognised as a leading tech hub in the West Midlands.
More than 95% of businesses based at the Technology Park say they would recommend Longbridge as a place to do business and more than half of these are looking to take on more office space in the town centre to accommodate their growth. *
As Longbridge continues to develop and thrive as a place to do business, it’s essential the next generation is equipped with the right skills.
Having relocated to the area in 2011 in a bespoke £66m facility, Bournville College is training the next generation, with 15,000 students passing through its doors each year – providing a skilled talent pool for Longbridge-based businesses to recruit from.
